IBM mainframe “pushes” the data to the data warehouse at the end of its nightly job cycle (via ftp)
Unix Cron Scheduler checks for new data and starts load
- Loads Dimension Tables when data has changed
- Loads daily General Journal File
- Loads Labor after a pay period
