Please join me in welcoming Advanced DataTools as Brio University's
newest Authorized Education Center for the Washington, DC Metropolitan
Area.
The company was founded in 1993 by Lester Knutsen, a Certified
Informix and Brio Professional and consultant with more than 20
years of experience in development, support, training and project
management services with companies using database systems. Advanced DataTools
is a woman-owned business.
Advanced DataTools developed data warehouses using Informix and
Brio software for the US Department of the Interior and the US Department
of Agriculture. Advanced DataTools developed and supports several major web accessible
data warehouses including the Bureau of Land Management's Management
Information System.
Advanced DataTools signed on as a Brio Training Partner earlier this year-- enabling
their 8 Certified Brio Instructors to train Brio Software products
in their 2 locations in the Greater Metropolitan area. Before that
signing Advanced DataTools staff designed and installed data warehouses for several
government agencies, and each of the agencies selected Brio software
for their data mining and report development.
Over 700 people have been trained by Advanced DataTools in the
use of Brio Intelligence tools. As full-time database and Brio consultants,
Advanced DataTools' instructors maintain current knowledge of the
entire Brio Software product line and its performance on various
database, hardware and operating system platforms. They have focused
their training on real-world, day-to-day problems and challenges
facing developers and end-users.
Brio University's search for a new training partner in this high
profile area was based on three factors:
